During the summer months the villages benefits from two great markets per week, so you can enjoy this typically French way of shopping for your fresh fruit and veg, local wines and cheeses, house wares, plants and even the latest fashions.
Located so close to the villages, you and the kids can pop out in the morning to pick up a fresh baguette, croissants or some yummy fresh cakes from one of the many bakeries in the village. A great opportunity for you all to practice your French each morning. Or visit in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants - classic French bistros, pizza restaurants, hotel restaurants, buffet restaurant and creperies!
You will find great adventure parks for the kids in each village so hours of fun. There are also large grassed playing fields within walking distances from most of the properties for a fun game of football or rounder's.
In the summer months the villages hold colourful festivals in the village square, ranging from 'moules-frites' evenings to jazz concerts, fireworks displays and special children's events.
The small market villages are found amidst the lovely countryside of the Vendée department of Western France, close to the beach and many family attractions. The villages are typically French, with soft, grey stone buildings built in the traditional style, a lovely church as its centrepiece, and a vibrant twice weekly market.
The villages are supremely well placed for access to all the very best of the region's restaurants. The seaside resort of La Tranche sur Mer is almost on the doorstep, at less than a ten-minute drive away which offers a huge selections of wonderful authentic French restaurants.

Our villages have Office de Tourisms', wonderful boulangeries (bakers), post offices, banks, hairdressers, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, pharmacy's, creperie, cafes/bars and restaurants. Also that important 'cave' for locally-produced wine plus a quaint boutique of arts/crafts for the perfect holiday gift. A couple of the villages have a large Brocante (antiques centre), mini-supermarkets and excellent butchers and fish mongers. Just on the outskirts of the villages are large super-markets and petrol stations as well as additional restaurants, a boulanger, and beauty spa.
The area around the villages are a gourmet's delight! The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers visiting the town's fish market (open every weekday at 5am) will be able to choose from a range of freshly caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustines & gambas.

so are perfectly located to easily access the beaches and attractions this beautiful region has to offer.
There are two great kids' parks in Longeville sur Mer plus a FREE outdoor gymnasium....! Also located in each village are tennis and basketball courts.
